Why Commercial Spaces Need High-Quality Blinds
· VL Blinds
Offices, hotels and shops use their blinds all day, every day, and their needs differ from a home's. These are the points to check when specifying.
1. Heat and glare
Large glass areas let in strong sun. A suitable fabric reduces glare on screens and cuts some heat. The benefit depends on the building and the fabric chosen.
2. Fire requirements
Commercial buildings often have to meet local fire rules for window furnishings. Ask for the fire test certificate for the fabric you are specifying, and keep it with the project papers.
3. Heavy use
Blinds that are operated many times a day need sturdy chains, brackets and, where used, motors rated for frequent use. Ask the supplier what the fittings are rated for.
4. A uniform look
One fabric and fitting across all the windows looks tidy from outside, and a common specification makes replacement parts easier to source.
