How to Choose the Perfect Blind for Every Room
· VL Blinds
The right blind depends on what the room is used for. Here is how to approach four common rooms.
1. Living room
You want daylight by day and a way to control it in the evening. Zebra blinds, whose alternating bands let you set the light level, and double roller blinds that pair a light-filtering fabric with a blackout layer, both suit this.
2. Bedroom
Blackout roller blinds block most of the light. Some can still come in at the sides, so ask about side channels, or fit the blind so it overlaps the window recess.
3. Kitchen
Steam and splashes mean a wipe-clean material is easier to live with, such as faux wood or a PVC-coated roller fabric. Keep untreated fabric away from the hob.
4. Home office
Glare on a screen is the main problem. Wooden Venetian or vertical blinds let you angle the light away from the screen while the room stays bright.
